Gel Jamlang
I earned my BFA in visual communication from the College of Fine Arts at The University of the Philippines in 2000. In 2012 I moved to the United States and started exhibiting my works in Baltimore, Maryland.
In 2013 I started freelancing as an illustrator. I then had the pleasure teaching a couple of semesters at the Illustration department of The Maryland Institute College of Art.
I am currently a freelance illustrator and an art instructor at Bethesda.
My work is inspired by surreal art. I enjoy painting portraits and objects in watercolor. My aesthetic style is influenced by the idea of simplicity and drama.
